Our Approach
SpeyTech is committed to respecting your privacy. We collect minimal data, don't track you across the web, and never sell your information to third parties. This policy explains what we collect and why.
What We Don't Do
We believe in being clear about what we don't do:
- We don't use tracking cookies
- We don't use Google Analytics or similar tracking services
- We don't build advertising profiles
- We don't sell or share your data with third parties
- We don't track you across other websites
Analytics
We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool, to understand how visitors use our site. Umami:
- Does not use cookies
- Does not collect personal information
- Does not track visitors across sites
- Collects only aggregate, anonymised data (page views, referrers, device types)
This data helps us understand which content is useful. It cannot identify you personally.
Contact Form
When you use our contact form, we collect:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your message
We use this information solely to respond to your enquiry. We don't add you to any mailing list unless you explicitly request it. Contact form submissions are retained only as long as necessary to address your enquiry.
Newsletter
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address. We use double opt-in, meaning you must confirm your subscription via email before receiving any newsletters.
Our newsletter is managed using Listmonk, a self-hosted mailing list manager. Your email address is stored on our own servers, not with third-party email marketing services.
Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link. You can remove yourself from our list at any time, and we will delete your email address promptly.
Data Storage
All data we collect is stored on servers we control. We don't use third-party services that would give others access to your information. Our servers are located in the European Union.
Your Rights
Under GDPR and UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- Access any personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Object to processing of your data
- Withdraw consent at any time
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us. We will respond within 30 days.

Our site contains links to external websites (GitHub, LinkedIn, etc.). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these sites. We encourage you to read their privacy policies.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Significant changes will be noted clearly.
